Black Film Space Manitoba is a Manitoba-based film production company headquartered in Winnipeg with international reach. We are a Black-owned business, committed to diversifying the talent pool within Manitoba’s film and music industries. Led by industry veterans with global experience in film and with music credits – we are committed to creating inclusive and sustainable employment opportunities.
New team members will receive training and mentorship to develop industry-required skill sets and identify a career path. Industry training will include a combination of courses – and equipment specific training through our suppliers. On each project, we will pair interns with key department heads to learn from their experience and gain perspective on different aspects of the business.
Interns will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of projects listed below:
- Feature Film titled “Cool Sweepings” in development 2023-24
- CBC Documentary titled “Relationship Remix in production airing in 2024
- Kung Fu & Basketball Short Film coming in 2024
- Contribute to the recording and production of the Relationship Remix 8-track, album featuring various artists, due to be released in 2024.
